After paying a local installer $350 previously to program a URC remote for me, and being really disappointed with the terrible job he did, I've insisted on being given the software for any URC device I purchase and programming it myself. So I'd just pay them the $25 for the software and program it yourself. If you bought it from a local installer, they would probably want to program it for you also (larger profit center) and most seem to charge upwards of $150/hr for that. Paying $25 for the software isn't that bad of a deal though if you were planning on programming it yourself anyways. So currently I have a paper weight for my coffee table. I asked how they could charge for a program that they didn't own and should have stated in the ad that it was required to make the device work. The following terms were also used when searching for Mx3000 Software Download - URC MX 3000: mx3000 manual mx3000 windows 8 mx3000 universal remote. This gives the MX-890 the ability to control your system without being in direct line-of-sight. It also natively communicates to URC Lighting via RF. They said they would email me the link once I paid the $25. The MX-890 can communicate directly to RF base stations, such as the MRX-1/RFX-250, MRF-350 and the MRF-260. When asked about the software to program it they told me it would be an additional $25. ![]() Interesting news: I purchased an MX-890 from EBay that stated they were an authorized dealer for URC.
